National Heat Awareness Day is observes each year the last Friday in May. This year, Heat awareness day is May 31. Heat is one of the leading weather-related killers in the United States, resulting in hundreds of fatalities each year. Unfortunately, many of these fatalities are children and elderly people.
Throughout this the summer season we ask that you take the necessary precautions to protect yourself from the Sun's wrath by using sunscreen, wearing sunglasses, wearing a hat when outdoors for extended period of time, staying hydrated, and being mindful of your children and pets during summer months.
